Why should I join? Because ASPRO is an effective way to represent the thousands of Academic Staff! Individual Academic Staff members don’t have to do it alone.
Perhaps you are an Academic Staff member who is concerned about how you are treated on campus or within the University system. You want to be a professional committed to the students and work that you do, but want a sense of security about your employment. Certainly you are extremely busy, don’t have the time or are uncomfortable with speaking out publicly --- WE NEED YOU TO JOIN.
Perhaps you are an Academic Staff leader on your campus. You serve on your campus’s Academic Staff Assembly or Senate. You are comfortable talking with administrators. You are willing to contact legislators or testify before a legislative committee. You have a desire to be involved --- WE NEED YOU TO JOIN.
Whether you want to be an active member or a silent partner of ASPRO, the important thing is that you join.

Membership is open to anyone employed by the University of Wisconsin System. Membership is voluntary and open to both currently employed and retired staff. Dues are as follows:
- Active members pay 0.15 of 1% of their monthly salary (most dues are in the range $3-$7 per month), via payroll deduction.
- Retired members pay a one-time lifetime membership fee of $25.00
